Advanced Roofing Solutions Ltd carried out the direct overlay of the original failed PVC single ply roofing system installed at this development of houses and flats.

The existing PVC single ply membrane was leaking in multiple areas around the perimeter and particularly at the rainwater outlet points. The project was specified by John Rowan & Partners surveyors on behalf of the client A2 Dominon Housing and the product selected was the cold applied Triflex Protect liquid roofing system.

The process involved the power washing of the existing PVC single ply membrane to remove all contaminants, lightly abrade the surface of the PVC to break any residual release agents and provide a sound surface to enable the good adhesion of the Triflex resins.

As a future proof safe guarding against possible rainwater ingress caused by failed mortar joints on the existing clay mono-ridge tiles, the decision was made that our installers would clean, prime and install a fully reinforced strip of Triflex Proetail over all mortar joints around the ridge of the tiled roof.

The new Triflex Protect roof covering forms a completely seamless, elastomeric membrane that can withstand maintenance foot traffic, is BBA & ETA approved and certified and is covered by a 20 year guarantee.
